Clause 124

The Director shall provide at every slaughter-house provided by the Government all persons necessary for the purposes of slaughtering animals and dressing the carcases hereof and shall have at all times in readiness a sufficient supply of hot and cold water for the service of persons making use of such slaughter-house.

The Director may at all reasonable times allow any person to slaughter any animal or dress for sale any carcase at a slaughter-house provided by the Government on payment of the fee which would have been due and payable if such animal had been killed and the carcase dressed by an employee of the Government.

The Director may refuse to allow the slaughter at a slaughter-house provided by the Government of any animal or the dressing of any carcase which is diseased or, by reason of emaciation, is in the opinion of the Director or a person nominated in writing by him unfit for human consumption.
