Clause 11

Compounding of offences

(1)

Any officer, being authorised in writing in that behalf by the Minister, may compound any offence under this Ordinance or any regulations made thereunder by accepting from a person reasonably suspected of having committed such offence a sum of money not exceeding five hundred dollars.

(2)

On payment of such sum of money, no further proceedings shall be taken against such person in respect of such offence.
