Repeal and re-enactment of section 442A
Section 442A of the principal Ordinance is hereby repealed and the following substituted therefor: —“Discharging oil, etc. into territorial waters442A. No person shall discharge any oil, oily substance or oily liquid into the territorial waters of the State of Singapore without the written permission of the Director or appropriate statutory body or without lawful excuse, and any person who so discharges the same or causes the same to be so discharged and the master of any vessel from which the same is discharged shall be guilty of an offence under this Ordinance and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars in addition to any expenses which are incurred in removing the same.”.
