Clause 24

Disinfection of building

(1)

A veterinary authority may give written directions for —

(a)

the disinfection in such manner as he may determine of any building in which an infected animal or bird has been found or kept;

(b)

prohibiting the use of any such building until such building has been disinfected in accordance with such directions as may have been given under the provisions of paragraph (a) of this subsection.

(2)

Any person who without lawful excuse fails to comply with any written direction given under the provisions of subsection (1) of this section shall be guilty of an offence under this Ordinance and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both such fine and imprisonment.
