Clause 62

Brands or other identification marks may be applied to animals

(1)

A veterinary authority may, if he deems it necessary for purposes of identification, brand, label or otherwise mark either permanently or temporarily any animal.

(2)

Any person who counterfeits, copies, alters, defaces or erases, any brand or mark applied by a veterinary authority shall be guilty of an offence under this Ordinance and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both such fine and imprisonment.
