Clause 7

Except as provided in any order made under the provisions of subsection (1) of section 6 of this Ordinance, no person shall import or tranship any animal, bird or veterinary biologics, except in accordance with a licence issued in that behalf by the Director and in accordance with the conditions, if any, of such licence and such other conditions as may be prescribed.

A licence to import or tranship any animal, bird or veterinary biologics under this Ordinance may be obtained on an application made in the prescribed form to the Director and upon the payment of such fees as may be prescribed.

Any person importing or transhipping an animal, bird or veterinary biologics in contravention of the provisions of subsection (1) of this section shall be guilty of an offence under this Ordinance and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both such fine and imprisonment.
