Clause 3

Section 4 of the Ordinance is hereby amended by deleting subsection (1) thereof and substituting therefor the following: —“(1) The President of the Court shall not be deemed to be a public servant, but shall have the same rights, privileges, protection and immunity as a Judge of the Supreme Court and the provisions of the Constitution of Singapore relating to the tenure of office and the terms of office of Judges of the Supreme Court shall be deemed to apply to him as if he were a Judge of the Supreme Court.”.
