Appointment of Mufti
(1)
The President of Singapore may, after consultation with the Majlis, appoint a fit and proper person to be Mufti of Singapore. Such appointment shall be notified in the Gazette.
(2)
The Mufti shall be ex-officio a member of the Majlis.
