Clause 17
Offences and penalties
(1)
Any person who fails to —
comply with the provisions of subsection (2) of section 11;
comply with any condition imposed under subsection (3) or (4) of section 11; or
carry out the directions of the Board made under paragraph (i) of subsection (2) of section 13,shall be guilty of an offence under this Act and shall be liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to a fine not exceeding two thousand dollars or to both such imprisonment and fine.
(2)
Where any body or association fails to —
comply with the provisions of subsection (2) of section 11;
comply with any condition imposed under subsection (3) or (4) of section 11; or
carry out the directions of the Board made under paragraph (i) of subsection (2) of section 13 —
the President, Secretary and all members of the committee of such body or association or, if such officers do not exist, all persons holding positions in such body or association analogous to those of President, Secretary and members of the committee; and
all persons managing or assisting in the management of such body or association,shall be deemed to be guilty of an offence under this Act and shall be liable on conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to a fine not exceeding two thousand dollars or to both such imprisonment and fine.
