Clause 119

Registered office of company

(1)

A company shall as from the day on which it begins to carry on business or as from the fourteenth day after the date of its incorporation, whichever is the earlier, have a registered office within Singapore to which all communications and notices may be addressed and which shall be open and accessible to the public for not less than three hours during ordinary business hours on each day, Saturdays, weekly and public holidays excepted.[U.K.s. 107.][Aust. s. 111.]

If default is made in complying with subsection (1) of this section the company and every officer of the company who is in default shall be guilty of an offence under this Act and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of two hundred and fifty dollars and also to a default penalty.
