Notification of appointment of receiver
(1)
If any person obtains an order for the appointment of a receiver or manager of the property of a company or of the property in Singapore of any other corporation, or appoints such a receiver or manager under any powers contained in any instrument, he shall within seven days after he has obtained the order or made the appointment lodge notice of the fact with the Registrar.[U.K.s. 102.][Aust. s. 191.]
(2)
Where any person appointed receiver or manager of the property of a company or other corporation under the powers contained in any instrument ceases to act as such he shall within seven days thereafter lodge with the Registrar notice to that effect.
(3)
Every person who makes default in complying with the requirements of this section shall be guilty of an offence under this Act and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding two hundred and fifty dollars and also to a default penalty.
