Penalty for damaging works executed by Commissioner or Medical Officer of Health
Any person who, without the consent of the Commissioner or a Medical Officer of Health, interferes with, damages, injures, destroys or renders useless any works executed or any materials or things placed in, under or upon any premises by or under the orders of the Commissioner or a Medical Officer of Health, shall be guilty of an offence under this Act and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding two thousand dollars; and the Commissioner or a Medical Officer of Health may in addition recover from the person convicted, in the same manner as if it were a fine imposed by a Magistrate’s Court, such costs and expenses as were incurred in re-executing the works or replacing the materials or things so interfered with, damaged, injured, destroyed or rendered useless.
