Clause 120

Occupier in default of owner may execute work

Whenever default is made by an owner of any premises in the execution of any work required under this Act to be executed by him, an occupier of such premises, may, with the approval of the Commissioner, cause such work to be executed and the expenses thereof shall be paid to him by the owner or the amount may be deducted out of the rent from time to time becoming due from him to such owner and such occupier may, in the absence of any special agreement to the contrary, retain possession until such expenses have been fully reimbursed to him.
