Clause 130
Police officer or public officer may demand names and addresses in certain cases
(1)
Any person who is charged by any police officer or by any public officer authorised in writing in that behalf by the Commissioner with any offence under this Act or any regulations made thereunder shall on demand give his name and address and other proof of identity to such police officer or public officer, if so required.
(2)
The occupier of any premises shall, if required by any police officer or public officer authorised in writing in that behalf by the Commissioner, give his name and other proof of identity and the name and address of the owner of the premises, if known.
(3)
Any person who offends under this section or wilfully mis-states his name and address or the name and address of the owner of any premises shall be guilty of an offence under this Act and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding three hundred dollars.
