Clause 31

Licences for private markets

(1)

The Commissioner may grant a licence to any person for the use of any building, situation or place as a private market on such terms and conditions, for such period and on payment of such fees as he may think fit.

(2)

Any person who establishes, runs or uses any place as a private market without a licence issued under subsection (1) of this section shall be guilty of an offence under this Act and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding two thousand dollars and to a further fine not exceeding two hundred dollars for every day during which the offence is continued after conviction.
