Clause 85

Offensive trades not to be carried on without licence

(1)

No person shall establish or use any premises for any of the purposes set out in the Second Schedule to this Act without first obtaining a licence therefor from the Commissioner who, in granting a licence, may impose such terms and conditions as he may think fit.

(2)

Any person who without a licence establishes or uses any premises or permits the same to be established or used for any of the purposes set out in the Second Schedule to this Act shall be guilty of an offence under this Act and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding two thousand dollars and to a further fine not exceeding two hundred dollars for every day during which the offence is continued after conviction.
