Food Establishments

FIRST SCHEDULE(Section 45).Food EstablishmentsA. Canning, bottling or packing in air-tight containers of any food.B. Milling, processing, packing and storage for wholesale trade of rice or any other grain or flour.C. Sugar refining.D. The preparation or manufacture for sale or the sale of —1. bread, biscuits, wafers and any other bakery products;2. butter, cheese, margarine, egg jam (serikaya), peanut butter and any other form of bread spread;3. cakes, western or eastern type;4. chicken essence, meat and vegetable extracts;5. chocolate, flour and sugar confectionery;6. coffee, coffee mixture, tea and cocoa and any other form of beverage;7. compound articles of food consisting principally of milk or egg powder;8. cooked food for sale outside the premises, including food catering;9. curry powder and spices;10. edible oils and fats, including ghee, lard, dripping and any vegetable oil;11. any edible product made from soya beans, groundnuts, pulses, cereals, coconuts or nuts involving a process other than simple drying;12. egg powder and preserved eggs;13. flavouring essences and sweetening agents (natural and artificial);14. gourmet powder, monosodium glutamate or any food flavouring agents, including table salt and food additives;15. ice-cream, frozen confection and ice and distribution centres of such products;16. jams, jellies and other gelling agents;17. milk and cream, reconstituted milk, milk powders and condensed milk, whether sweetened or not, and any other milk or dairy product;18. pastes made from flour, including wheat, rice or bean flour and vermicelli, mee, kwayteow, meehoon, noodles and similar products;19. pickles;20. sauces and vinegar;21. salted and preserved fruits and vegetables;22. sago, tapioca, potato and other edible tuberous roots and products made therefrom;23. syrups and cordials, fruit juices and powdered soft drinks;24. water, including aerated, carbonated, flavoured and medicinal water and still drinks and soya bean milk;25. yeasts and baking powder.E. The preparation for sale or sale or storage of —1. meat and meat products, including reptile meat;2. poultry and poultry products, including birds;3. fish and fish products, including prawn, crab and cuttle fish;4. fresh vegetables and fruits.F. The carrying on of the trade of —1. coffee shop;2. cold drink shop;3. soda fountain;4. milk bar;5. eating house;6. restaurant;7. milk vending;8. any other type of food shop.
