Clause 2

Section 3 of the Legitimacy Ordinance is hereby amended by deleting subsection (2) thereof and substituting therefor the following: —“(2) The provisions of this Ordinance are applicable where the marriage leading to the legitimation was solemnized or registered in accordance with the provisions of any written law in force at the time of the marriage in Singapore or where the marriage is deemed to be registered under the provisions of the Women’s Charter, 1961 (Ord. 18 of 1961).”.
