Amendment of section 6

Section 6 of the Ordinance is hereby amended —

(a)

by deleting subsection (1) thereof and substituting therefor the following: —“(1) Where it appears to the Registrar that —

(a)

any registration was effected as a result of a misrepresentation of facts;

(b)

any condition of registration has been contravened by a Registered Manufacturer; or

(c)

a Registered Manufacturer has for a continuous period of not less than three months ceased to manufacture goods in respect of which he has been registered,the Registrar may, after notice to the Registered Manufacturer and after such enquiry as he thinks fit, revoke the registration.”; and

(b)

by inserting immediately after subsection (4) thereof the following subsection: —“(5) For the purpose of paragraph (c) of subsection (1) of this section, the Registrar may by notice in writing require a Registered Manufacturer to manufacture such minimum quantity of goods as the Registrar may determine and a Registered Manufacturer who fails to comply with any such notice shall be deemed to have ceased to manufacture those goods.”.
