Clause 4

Consequential amendments

(1)

Article 42 of the Constitution is hereby amended by deleting the word “The” appearing in the first line of clause (1) thereof and substituting therefor the expression “Subject to the provisions of Part IVA of this Constitution, the”.

(2)

Article 91 of the Constitution is hereby amended by deleting the definition of “High Court” appearing in clause (1) thereof.

(3)

In the following provisions of the Constitution, for the reference to a Judge of the High Court or Judges of the High Court, there shall be substituted a reference to a Judge of the Supreme Court or Judges of the Supreme Court respectively: —Articles 3, 19(1), 19(6)(a), 63(2), 71(6) and 73(2).
