Clause 20

Court for trial of offences

Any offence under this Act (Cap. 132) may be tried by a District Court or by a Magistrate’s Court and such Court shall, notwithstanding the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code and any other written law, have jurisdiction to impose the maximum penalty provided for by this Act.
