Clause 2

Amendment of section 17

Section 17 of the Ngee Ann Technical College Act is hereby amended —

(a)

by re-numbering the existing section as subsection (1) and by deleting the expression “, subject to the provisions of section 20 of the Ngee Ann Kongsi (Incorporation) Ordinance,” appearing in paragraph (b) thereof; and

(b)

by adding thereto the following subsection: —“(2) Section 20 of the Ngee Ann Kongsi (Incorporation) Ordinance (Cap. 307, 1955 Edition) shall not apply to the alienation or donation of immovable property by the Ngee Ann Kongsi to the College.”.
