Clause 29

Transitional provision

(1)

The provisions of section 14 shall not apply to any person who was immediately prior to the commencement of this Act employed by a person carrying on the business of a private investigator or a security guard agency and is continuously employed as such until the time his employer obtains a licence and such person shall, within two weeks from the date his employer obtains a licence, submit to the licensing officer in the prescribed form a statement containing such personal particulars and other information as are prescribed for the purposes of section 14.

(2)

Any person who in the form submitted to the licensing officer pursuant to subsection (1) makes any statement which to his knowledge is not correct or furnishes any particular which is not correct or knowingly omits to furnish any particular required to be furnished shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding five thousand dollars.
