Amendment of section 218
Subsection (1) of section 218 of the Companies Act is hereby amended —
(a)
by deleting the word “or” appearing at the end of paragraph (j) thereof;
(b)
by deleting the full-stop appearing at the end of paragraph (k) thereof and substituting therefor the expression “; or”; and
(c)
by inserting immediately after paragraph (k) thereof the following new paragraph: —“(l)the company has carried on multi-level marketing or pyramid selling in contravention of any written law that prohibits multi-level marketing or pyramid selling.”.
