Clause 9

Any person who sells, conveys, transfers, assigns, mortgages, or charges an unauthorised building or any part thereof or enters into an agreement for any such purpose shall be guilty of an offence under this Act.

Any person who lets or enters into an agreement to let an unauthorised building or any part thereof for rent or any other consideration shall be guilty of an offence under this Act.

The court before which a person is convicted for an offence under subsection (1) may also order him to refund the purchase money for the building to the purchaser together with such compensation as the court deems fit and the provisions of section 389 of the Criminal Procedure Code (Cap. 113) shall be applicable to an order under this subsection.
