Clause 1

Short title

This Act may be cited as the Restrictions on the Supply, Distribution and Use of Petroleum and Electricity Act, 1973.(2) This Act shall be in force for a period of one year from the date of its commencement:Provided that the Minister may, from time to time by notification in the Gazette, extend that period for such further period or periods of not more than twelve months at a time as he may think fit.(3) The expiry of this Act shall not affect its operation as respects things previously done or omitted to be done.
