Clause 47

Distinctive colours, shapes and markings of medicinal products

(1)

The Minister may by regulations impose such requirements as he considers necessary or expedient with respect to any one or more of the following matters: —

(a)

the colour of medicinal products;

(b)

the shape of medicinal products; and

(c)

distinctive marks to be displayed on medicinal products.

(2)

Such regulations may provide that medicinal products of any such description, or falling within any such class, as may be specified in the regulations shall not, except in such circumstances (if any) as may be so specified, be of any such colour or shape, or display any such mark, as may be so specified.

(3)

No person shall sell or supply, or have in his possession for the purpose of sale or supply, any medicinal product which contravenes any requirements imposed by such regulations.
