Clause 4

Section 17 of the principal Act is hereby amended by inserting immediately after subsection (7) thereof the following new subsection: —“(8) For the purposes of this section the construction of a new street may include the widening, opening, enlarging or otherwise improving any part or parts of any existing private street for the purpose of constructing the new street.”.
