Clause 25

by deleting the word “seven” appearing in the second line of sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 3 thereof and substituting therefor the word “fourteen”;

by deleting sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 5 thereof and substituting therefor the following: —“(1) Except where there is only one proprietor, a quorum at meetings of the council shall be —

two, where there are not more than four members;

three, where there are five or six members;

four, where there are seven or eight members;

five, where there are nine or ten members;

six, where there are eleven or twelve members; and

seven, where there are thirteen or fourteen members.”.(c)by inserting immediately after sub-paragraph (4) of paragraph 8 thereof the following new sub-paragraphs: —“(5) The Council shall within twenty-eight days of a general meeting file with the Commissioner certified true copies of —

the audited accounts of the corporation which has been presented to the general meeting, if any;

the resolutions passed at the general meeting; and

the minutes of the general meeting.(6) The Council shall permit the Commissioner or any person authorised by him to act on his behalf at all reasonable times full and free access to accounting and other records of the Corporation and permit the Commissioner or such person to make copies of or make extracts from any such accounting or other records.(7) The Commissioner or any person authorised by him to act on his behalf may require any member to furnish him with such information which such member possesses or has access to as the Commissioner or any such duly authorised person considers necessary for the purposes of discharging the functions of the Commissioner under this Act.”.(d)by deleting the word “three” appearing in the first line of sub-paragraph (2) of paragraph 9 thereof and substituting therefor the word “six”;

by deleting the words “proprietor or his proxy” appearing in the second line of sub-paragraph (1) of paragraph 14 thereof and substituting therefor the words “person entitled to vote”;

by deleting the word “parcel” appearing in the second and in the third lines of sub-paragraph (3) of paragraph 17 thereof and substituting therefor in each case the word “lot”; and

by deleting paragraph 19 thereof.
