Clause 12

Notice to Commissioner and insurer by employer

(1)

Every employer shall give notice —

(a)

to the Commissioner in the prescribed form; and

(b)

to his insurer in writing,of the occurrence of any accident within ten days thereof where the accident results in the death or immediate incapacity of any workman employed by him.

(2)

Any employer who fails to give notice as required by this section shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding one thousand dollars.

(3)

For the purposes of this section “employer” shall include the person, if any, referred to in section 17 as “the principal”.
