Master, etc., of vessel to assist Commissioner and Port Health Officer
(1)
The master, owner or agent of a vessel shall provide such facilities and assistance as the Commissioner or a Port Health Officer may require in exercising his powers for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act.
(2)
The master, owner or agent of a vessel shall take all reasonable measures and exercise due and proper care to ensure the safety of the Commissioner or a Port Health Officer and their staff in the course of their work on board the vessel.
(3)
Any person who contravenes the provisions of this section shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding ten thousand dollars or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both such fine and imprisonment.
