Clause 7

Epidemiological surveys and investigations

(1)

The Director may from time to time undertake epidemiological surveys of people, animals or vectors in order to determine the existence, prevalence or incidence of any infectious disease.

(2)

In investigating an infectious disease the Director may require —

(a)

any person to furnish him as soon as practicable with such information as he may require for the purpose of the investigation; and

(b)

any person to submit to such medical examination as he thinks fit.

(3)

Any person who fails without reasonable excuse to furnish any information or to submit to any medical examination required under this section shall be guilty of an offence.
