Clause 19

Section 53 of the Immigration Act is hereby amended by deleting the expression “a Deputy Controller, Assistant Controller or Deputy Assistant Controller” appearing in the fifth and sixth lines thereof and substituting therefor the words “an immigration officer generally or specially authorised in that behalf by the Controller”.
