Amendment of section 90
Section 90 of the Customs Act is hereby amended —
(a)
by renumbering the section as subsection (1); and
(b)
by inserting immediately thereafter the following subsection: —“(2) The Director-General may forfeit the whole or such part of the amount secured under paragraph (b) of subsection (1) of this section as the Director-General may think fit if he is satisfied that such agent, clerk or servant has committed or attempted to commit or abetted the commission of an improper or corrupt act.”.
