Amendment of section 39

Section 39 of the Women’s Charter is amended —

(a)

by deleting paragraph (a) of subsection (1) thereof and substituting therefor the following: —“(a)without first receiving a licence for the marriage or a special marriage licence;”; and

(b)

by deleting the words “certificate for marriage” in the second line of subsection (2) thereof and substituting therefor the words “marriage licence”.
