Clause 35

Prohibitions

(1)

No person shall —

(a)

install or work any broadcasting apparatus in any place in Singapore or on board any ship, aircraft or vehicle registered in Singapore; or

(b)

offer for sale, sell or have in his possession, with a view to sale, any broadcasting apparatus,except under and in accordance with a licence issued under this Act.

(2)

Every such licence shall be in such form and for such period and may contain such terms and conditions as the Corporation may determine.

(3)

Subsection (1) shall not be construed as requiring any person who works a broadcasting apparatus —

(a)

in the course of his duty as a member of the Singapore Armed Forces; or

(b)

in the course of his duty as a member of the Singapore Police Force or the Vigilante Corps; or

(c)

for the purposes of any department of the Government or the Port of Singapore Authority,to obtain a licence under this Act.

(4)

The Corporation may, with the approval of the Minister, exempt any person from the provisions of subsection (1).
