Repeal and re-enactment of section 7
Section 7 of the Ngee Ann Technical College Act (hereinafter in this Act referred to as the principal Act) is repealed and the following substituted therefor: —“Composition of the Council7.—
The Council shall consist of the following members: —
a Chairman;
a Deputy Chairman;
the Principal;
three representatives of the Ngee Ann Kongsi nominated by the Committee of Management thereof; and
such other persons, not being less than six or more than twelve, as the Minister may from time to time determine.(2) Every member of the Council, except the Principal, shall be appointed by the Minister and shall, unless the Minister otherwise directs, hold office for a period of three years from the date of his appointment and shall be eligible for reappointment.”.
