Clause 21

The principal Act is amended by inserting, immediately after section 142 thereof, the following section: —“Cessation of office of Council members on 31st December, 1979143. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Act, all the members of the Council holding office at the commencement of the Legal Profession (Amendment) Act, 1979, shall cease to hold office on the 31st day of December 1979.”.
