Repeal and re-enactment of section 50
Section 50 of the principal Act is repealed and the following substituted therefor: —“Statutory members50.—
(1)
The following persons shall be statutory members of the Council each time it is constituted: —
(a)
not more than three advocates and solicitors nominated by the Minister to sit on the Council; and
(b)
the immediate past President of the Society.(2) Every member of the Council nominated by the Minister under paragraph (a) of subsection (1) of this section shall hold office for a term of two years but may, from time to time, be re-nominated.”.
