Clause 17

to provide for the continuance in force of any provident fund scheme established and administered by the University of Singapore and to impose upon the University all or any of the obligations or duties in respect of such provident fund scheme;

to provide for the removal of any difficulty which may arise by reason of the establishment of the University and the dissolution of the University of Singapore and the Nanyang University; and

generally for the purpose of effecting the transition from the University of Singapore and the Nanyang University to the University, including the initial appointments of the Vice-Chancellor, Deans of Faculties and heads of institutions and appointments to the first Council.
