Clause 6
Licence for carrying on any business of importing, making, distributing or exhibiting films
(1)
No person shall carry on any business, whether or not the business is carried on for profit, of importing, making, distributing or exhibiting films unless he is in possession of a valid licence granted under this Act.
(2)
Any person who —
contravenes subsection (1); and
being the owner or occupier of any place allows the place to be used by, or lets the place or otherwise makes the place available to, any person who is not the holder of a valid licence for the purpose of carrying on the business of importing, making, distributing or exhibiting films,shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of not less than five thousand dollars but not exceeding twenty thousand dollars or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both such fine and imprisonment.
