Amendment of section 2
Section 2 of the Vigilante Corps Act (referred to in this Act as the principal Act) is amended —
(a)
by deleting the word “Commandant” in the definition of “commanding officer” and substituting the word “Director”;
(b)
by inserting, immediately after the definition of “the Corps”, the following definitions: —“ “detention barracks” means any building or part thereof set apart by the Commissioner for the purposes of persons serving sentences of detention;“disciplinary officer” means any officer or any police officer of or above the rank of Inspector in the Police Force who is appointed by the Commandant to conduct disciplinary proceedings;”.
