Clause 35

Amendments to certain enactments

(1)

The Timber Industry Board (Incorporation) Act, 1973 (Act 64 of 1973) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the definitions of “Board”, “Chairman” and “Executive Secretary” in section 2 and substituting the following definition:“ “Board” means the Trade Development Board established under the Trade Development Board Act, 1982;”; and

(b)

by deleting Parts II, III, VI and VII and sections 16 to 19 and the Second Schedule.

(2)

The Control of Imports and Exports Act (Cap. 240) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the definition of “Controller” in section 2;

(b)

by deleting paragraph (a) in the definition of “senior authorised officer” in section 2; and

(c)

by deleting section 3.

(3)

The Registration of Imports and Exports Act (Cap. 298) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the definition of “Registrar” in section 2; and

(b)

by deleting section 3.
