Amendment of section 54

Section 54 of the Companies Act is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after the word “name” in the first line of paragraph (d) of subsection (1), the words “, identification, nationality (if such identification and nationality are required by the Registrar)”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately after subsection (1), the following subsection:“(1A) In subsection (1) “identification” means in the case of a person issued with an identity card, the number of his identity card and, in the case of a person not issued with an identity card, particulars of his passport or such other similar evidence of identification as is available.”; and

(c)

by deleting the words “who is in default” in the second line of subsection (7).
