Clause 52

Section 272 of the Companies Act is amended by inserting, immediately after the word “meeting” at the end of subsection (2), the following words:“, except that when a declaration is made by the liquidator and filed with the Official Receiver that neither at the date of commencement of the winding up nor since that date has the company had trade creditors, the advertisement referred to in this subsection need only be published in a newspaper circulating generally throughout Singapore”.
