Repeal and re-enactment of section 77
Section 77 of the Employment Act is repealed and the following section substituted therefor:“Payments to include holidays77.—
(1)
The payment referred to in section 76 shall be paid for every day of the benefit period, including holidays.(2) Nothing in this section shall be construed to require an employer to pay to a female employee an extra day’s salary for a holiday which falls within the benefit period.”.
