Clause 6

Section 25 of the Employment Act is amended by renumbering the section as subsection (1) of that section, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following subsection:“(2) Subsection (1) shall not apply where the salary is paid into an account with a bank in Singapore, being an account in the name of the employee or an account in the name of the employee jointly with one or more other persons.”.
