Clause 35

The Insurance Act is amended by inserting, immediately after section 39, the following section:“Jurisdiction of courts39A. A District Court or a Magistrate’s Court shall, notwithstanding the Criminal Procedure Code (Cap. 113), have jurisdiction to try any offence under this Act and impose the full penalty or punishment in respect of such offence.”.
