Amendment of section 3
Section 3 of the Parliament (Privileges, Immunities and Powers) Act (referred to in this Act as the principal Act) is amended by deleting subsection (1) and substituting the following subsection:“(1) The powers, privileges and immunities of Parliament and of the Speaker, Members and Committees of Parliament shall be the same as those of the Commons House of Parliament of the United Kingdom and of its Speaker, Members or Committees at the establishment of the Republic of Singapore.”.
