Amendment of section 7

Section 7 of the principal Act is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (a) of subsection (1), the following paragraph:“(aa)a Vice-President, if one has been so appointed under subsection (6);”; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after subsection (5), the following subsection:“(6) The President of Singapore may appoint a Vice-President of the Majlis to assist the President in the discharge of his functions and duties under this Act.”.
